John Winkler
Growing up with his father in real estate and beginning his personal building career in 1968, John Winkler possesses an extensive background in residential and commercial real estate. As a visionary, he enjoys taking the impossible and bringing it to fruition. He and his wife Jan, both natives of Boone, love the High Country and have sought to employ their talents to enrich the community. When considering opening a residential real estate office, he was not sure whether or not to pursue such an endeavor. However, after meeting with several successful agents who had a number of years buying and selling homes in the Blowing Rock and Boone areas, John decided to start APP Real Estate. In an effort to develop a thriving agency, he chose topflight professionals to assist him in serving the High Country.
John and his wife have nearly 30 years of experience in the property owner/management field and have built most of the properties they presently own. They are hands-on managers of the Winkler Organization, which comprises over 200 rental units they lease, largely to the Appalachian students, and have acquired most of the properties within walking distance to campus for the students' convenience. Knowing the importance of customer satisfaction, John is dedicated to give his very best in order to guide each client through the complexities of buying and selling his or her property.
